Platinum Alliance vs. Lokars Shadow (Update: April 23, 2012)

A while back someone posted a commercial on YouTube about a possible new set called 'Platinum Alliance vs Lokars Shadow' He also uploaded another commercial (Kairu cube) but he removed both videos off of YouTube. (I'm guessing because the news wasn't supposed to be out yet) But anyways the first commercial said that 'Platinum Alliance vs Lokars Shadow' was to come out Fall 2012.

If I remember correctly the first commercial talked about something Lokar 'created' and mentioned 'Dark Kairu' or something. This could explain what happens at the end of episode 26 of the TV show.

The cool thing about some cards from this 'set' is that they are foil cards... and in 3D! (The platinum monsters are the foil cards)

The commercial showed us two new cards which were:

Direwolf - A new wolf type monster
Platinum Froztok - New looking froztok card.. but the platinum version.

Sadly I did not take screenshots before the user removed the video from YouTube. But I do have this small picture:



As you can see in the picture Direwolf is on the left and Platinum Froztok is on the right!

I got this small picture of the two new cards because I posted the video link to Tumblr.. then when the guy removed the video.. I couldn't play the video on Tumblr anymore.. but I did get a thumbnail picture of Direwolf and Froztok!

Wow, you actually got a picture of them! I am jealous! I am so stupid, because I only downloaded the Kairu Cube video because I wanted to make a review of (which I did), so that video is safe forever. But ofcourse the day I decided I wanted to make a review of that video, it dissapeared! We both should of taken screen shots atleast!
And so I guess it is coming out in the fall... with Combine and Conquer, or by itself, I wonder?

I found the video again! Posted some screen shots.. it looks like they can't make up Direwolf's mind for defenses... lol.

Plat 'Tok also has the same ability as Gold, but with arranged defenses. Yikes at DireWolf, a vanilla 700 all colors. :p I hope that that is the reason for his Direness is that defense rating.

Some of those pictures are definitely prototypes; for instance notice that the Direwolf has 000 Blue Defense in the Lokar's Shadow picture.

The Direwolf (same art on all Direwolf) also changes Kairu cost and Defense, so either it's different cards with the same art or they were playing around with different ideas.

I like the idea of a all 700 Monster. Defense is less than a joke in this game.
